Galvalume® Plus is a metallic coating which consists of 44% zinc, 55% aluminum and trace amount of silicone and has an additional organic acrylic clear coat for added protection. Galvanized steel is coated in zinc only. This combination provides a greater barrier from the elements, allowing it to outlast galvanized steel under the same exposure conditions.
Resistant – Galvalume® has superior resistance to corrosion in outdoor environments and performs better than galvanized steel. Even after a few decades, Galvalume Plus-coated steel will be less likely to rust than traditional galvanized steel.
Self-healing – Galvalume Plus metals can heal from red rust at the edges when cut to shape and will stop any discoloration from growing over time. Zinc is self-sacrificing to protect the steel, leading to better protection for your trailer.
Longevity – Galvalume will last around 35 years before any major repairs and has a total lifespan of approximately 40 – 60 years in certain environments.
Aesthetically pleasing – Galvalume plus’s matte, silvery metallic appearance is desirable and can also be

Yes, all our trailers meet all safety regulations for highway use in Canada and the US.
Most provinces or states require that you license and title your trailer before you tow it. You are required to check with the Ministry of transportation (MOT) in Canada, or Department of motor vehicles (DOT) in the US, with regards to licensing a trailer. Licensing laws will vary from province to province and state to state.
IN CANADA:
Before you may register your trailer, the New Vehicle Information Statement (NVIS) must be filled out by the dealer and then signed by you. To register the trailer, you will need to take your Bill of Sale and the completed New Vehicle Information Statement (NVIS) to the Ministry of Transportation. After paying the provincial fees, your trailer will be registered. At this time, you will be issued a trailer license plate.
When you purchase a trailer, you will receive:
a) a NVIS (New Vehicle Information Sheet), that must be signed by the retailer you purchased it from
b) an owners manual
c) a warranty card, and
d) a bill of sale
Since regulations and fees surrounding trailer registration vary from province to province, we recommend that you contact your local Ministry of Transportation (MOT) office. In most cases, when trailer registration is required, you will need to present the NVIS form and bill of sale at the MOT to do so.
For more information, please visit your provincial MOT website:
IN USA:
Before you may register your trailer, the Certificate of Origin must be endorsed by the dealer to you. To register the trailer, you will need to bring the Bill of Sales and the completed Certificate of Origin to the Department of Motor Vehicles, where after paying the state fees your trailer will be registered and/or titled. The local DMV then issues a Certificate of Title or some other ownership document to the new vehicle purchaser.
When you purchase your trailer, you will receive:
a) a literature pack, containing a Certificate of Origin that must be signed by the retailer you purchased it from
b) an owner’s manual
c) a warranty card, and
d) a bill of sale provided by the retailer you purchased it from
Since regulations and fees surrounding trailer registration vary from state to state, we recommend that you contact your local Department of Transportation (DOT) office. In most cases when trailer registration is required, you will need to present your Certificate of Origin and bill of sale at the DOT to do so.
If you are experiencing difficulties registering your trailer, please contact info@macpowergroup.ca with proof of purchase and the VIN of the trailer, and we will be happy to assist you.

To ensure compliance with road safety and regulation, a snowplow light kit is required in order to drive on any road. Please abide by local road laws and regulations as they can vary by location. We recommend you stay off of highways and stick to streets instead. Before driving on any road, it is always important make sure the safety clips or the hitch pin are secured and your plow is safely mounted to your vehicle. You are required to use the safety chain while you aren’t plowing to take stress off your winch strap.
Yes you can drive on the highway with your plow but we do not recommend driving far distances with the plow on the front of your vehicle. If you are driving with the blade on make sure to angle the blade to the left or right.
The T-frame (Universal) style snow plows (Hitch-Mounted Series) mount on to any vehicle with a standard 2” class III front mount receiver. The custom mount snow plows (Summit II, Rampage II, Storm II) use a set of vehicle specific mounting brackets joined by a cross member which connects the plow frame to the frame of your vehicle.
First thing you should do is double check you have the proper custom mount for your vehicle. You can check our mount guide at https://detailk2.com/snow-plows-mount-guide. It is important to loosely install both left and right mounting brackets first. Then loosely install the cross member between the left and right bracket. Go back and tighten left and right bracket then finally the cross member should be tightened into place. Please note: there may be non-essential parts that will need to be removed before installation of the custom mount kit (i.e. front skirt, tow bar, etc.). If you require further assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to support@detailk2.com and we will provide assistance.
In order to ensure the correct winch selection and correct method of use please take time to read the following information.
Failure to select the correct winch and incorrect operation can potentially reduce the life cycle of your winch and result in premature failure.
Winches used under certain conditions i.e. Salvage, recovery and off road applications will require a much higher rated winch than that of a less frequently used winch used for a rolling load such as a small boat, caravan or car onto a trailer.
Winches mounted on a four wheel drive, or trailer can save a lot off effort. Selection of winch capacity for loading needs to be carefully considered. Winches need to be powerful enough to pull your vehicle whilst overcoming the added resistance caused by obstacles such as moving water, gradients, mud, snow or sand.
MAXIMUM LINE PULL OR RATING
This is the maximum effort that the winch can exert on a single line on the first layer of the winch drum.
As the layers of cable build up on the winch drum, the overall cable speed increases, however the rated line pull decreases at the same rate. By using a snatch block to obtain a “double line pull” you can in effect almost double the pulling capacity of your winch, whilst approximately halving the overall recovery speed.
It is good practice to use a snatch block when performing a “heavy” self recovery as it will decrease the current running through your electric winch motor and helps to prevent overheating and damage to the unit.
HOW TO WORK OUT THE CAPACITY OF WINCH YOU NEED
Ideally the rating of your winch should be in excess of 1.5 times the gross weight of your vehicle. Put simply, a 2 tonne Land Rover should be equipped with a winch with a capacity of 3.5 Tonnes or greater
All Ninja winches come complete with battery leads (Red & Black Long leads) and also the motor leads (Red & black Short leads). On installation of your new winch you first need to connect the black & red motor cables (short leads) to the winch motor from the solenoid box and then connect the positive (Red) and negative (BLACK) cables to the battery terminals.
Kohler Engine Troubleshooting
Here are a few troubleshooting steps:
- Ensure sufficient gas and oil is in engine because engine has a low-oil sensor (10W30 oil)
- If it is a chipper, make sure nothing is jammed inside which is stopping the drum from rotating.
- Make sure the fuel lever is all the way to the right.
- Put choke halfway.
- Make sure key is turned on/safety switch turned off (if your machine has one)
- Put gas a bit past the turtle.
- Make sure spark plug is in correctly.
- If it still does not start and your machine has a key/safety switch, the key/safety switch wire could be faulty. To confirm, unplug the key/safety switch wire and then try starting up your engine. If it turns on, then the key/safety switch wire is faulty, and we can get a new one sent out to you.
If these steps do not work, please contact Kohler at enginefieldservice@kohler.com (1-800-544-2444) and they can provide you with more assistance as they cover the engine related issues. *For electric start models, if you continue to have issues starting your engine, please contact support@detailk2.com and we will provide further assistance.
The ELITE ENERGY battery life while running ELITE ENERGY equipment ranges from 45 minutes to 1 hour. Due to the nature of each individual product, run-times will vary between the chipper, log splitter, leaf blower, and pressure washer. The main culprits of variance are (1) load, (2) intermittence, and (3) battery health.
LOAD: The OPC503EV wood chipper has the capacity to chip trees or branches up to 3 inches in diameter. If you’re chipping at this maximum capacity through the entire life of the battery, it will run closer to 45 minutes.
INTERMITTENCE: While splitting logs with one person, the process may have some more intermittence than with 2 people. If you’re running the operation with 2 people, the time between each ram activation is shorter and therefore causing your battery life to run out at 45 minutes.
BATTERY HEALTH: The ELITE ENERGY™ battery has a lifespan of up to 3,000 charging cycles and does require some attention when it comes to storage. Please read your user manual to learn how to properly store and charge your ELITE ENERGY™ battery so that it runs at its full potential.
With the standard OPECHR 200W charging cable, it takes around 4-5 hours to charge your battery to the recommended capacity of 80%. With the ELITE ENERGY™ OPECHF 2000W Power Console, it will take 50 minutes to charge your battery to the recommended capacity of 80%.
